ERC Preparative Fellowship 2020 @ Bielefeld University


The ERC is Europe’s most prestigious individual research grant and supports excellent investigators and their research teams in carrying out ground-​breaking, high-​risk, high-​gain, frontier research projects. Each year Bielefeld University will employ two fellows (ideally one with a social sciences and humanities background and one with a natural sciences background).


The fel­lows must be eli­gi­ble to apply for an ERC Star­ting Grant in the first year of their em­ploy­ment at Bie­le­feld Uni­ver­si­ty. They must have an out­stan­ding sci­en­ti­fic track re­cord sho­wing great pro­mi­se. Their re­se­arch pro­fi­le must match the po­li­cy of the cho­sen Bie­le­feld Uni­ver­si­ty’s fa­cul­ty.

In ad­di­ti­on, ap­p­li­cants must have had or still have an aca­de­mic or other re­se­arch po­si­ti­on at the post­doc­to­ral or fa­cul­ty level out­si­de Bie­le­feld Uni­ver­si­ty.

The starting date of the fellowship is 01.04.2020 and the fellows will be employed for a period of 18 months. The deadline for application is 15.10.2019.
